What do you call it when a garage band outgrows the garage and runs head-first into the thick of high-gloss pop? It's usually called "sell-out"...but the New Colony Six managed to make the leap without mortgaging their Farfisa'sd souls. The results in part were two prized LPs and a flurry of singles on the tiny Sentar label that have aged more gracefully than Goldie Hawn.
